JMARS map layer beta
The JMARS software developers have spent the last several months revisiting one of the most fundamental layers in JMARS: the map layer.
The new map layer features:
- Greater stability
- A modern user interface
- Image processing capability
We are still fleshing out the image processing operations, but what is already there allows the viewing of numeric data products as a graphical map, HSV composites, simple grayscale data stretches, and more.
This beta program allows JMARS users to get early access to this replacement for the old map layer. It's not fully polished yet, elements of the user interface are still changing, but it is already a huge step up from the old layer.
Please try it out and email us your thoughts at help@jmars.asu.edu.

During the beta, we regularly issue important updates to fix problems and improve features.
JMARS should be updated each time an update is available. You are advised to upgrade regularly, since these changes are important.
As the beta comes to a close, the frequency of updates will fall off greatly.
