Shortcut Keys

This section contains a number of shortcut keys that are available for use in JMARS

Toolbar Keys

• Shift+i : Selects the Zoom In tool
• Shift+ o : Selects the Zoom Out tool
• Shift+ m : Selects the Ruler
• Shift+ p : Selects the Panner Glove
• Shift+ d : Selects the Default Pointer
• Shift+ c : Selects the Investigate Chart Tool
• Shift+ e: Selects the Export button

General Keys

• Ctrl +r: Reproject
• Alt +Left arrow: Previous Place
• Alt +Right arrow: Next Place
• Ctrl +p: Bookmark Current Place
• Ctrl +h: Changes the layer manager to the home window
• Ctrl +s: Save, if you have already saved once otherwise it will not work
• Shift +Delete: Deletes the layer that is selected in the layer manager
• Enter: Opens the focus panel for the layer that is selected in the layer manager
• Alt +f: File Menu
• Alt + v: View Menu
• Alt +p: Places Menu
• Alt + b: Body Menu
• Alt + t: Tools Menu
• Alt + o: Options Menu
• Alt + h: Help Menu

Crater Layer

• Ctrl + mouse wheel: Changes the crater color. Note: This feature may not work on all platforms
• Shift + mouse wheel: Changes the crater size by one instead of ten. Note: This feature may not work on all platforms

3D Layer

• The W Key: moves the image along the surface upwards.
• The A Key: moves the image along the surface to the left.
• The S Key: moves the image downwards.
• The D Key: moves the image along the surface to the right.
